Unusual Japanese sword with two blades attached to one hilt, need more info?
I saw this very unsual sword at a faire:
Japanese katana style, 3ft aprox. with curved blades- it had two swords attached to one hilt or tsuba & handle.
It looked identical to the sword seen in an anime called Rurouni Kenshin by the character Sword Hunter Cho. But this one was not a cosplay item.
I need more info about this sword & the real Japanese name Please.
It looks like this: http://users.skynet.be/aoshihomepage/Kenshin/Weapons/Renbatto.jpg It is a real sword though, not just a manga one
♡I hesitated to answer because I've never personally seen a double blade sword here in Japan... BUT! It sounds a lot like the Fantasy double blade sword.
Take a look here:
http://www.globalgear.com.au/prod1549.htm
" The first (and only) katana of its kind in the world..."
Could that be what you're referring to?
Excuse me in advance if I'm wrong.
As J said, most Japanese swords I've seen are single blade. Hmmmm...
Hope this helps!♡
