What does "Foenex" mean? Is it Latin or Greek to Phoenix? Written in a 17thC. still life painting deHeem
nature Flemish painter dead, 17. C. Word on the lower left corner of the painting executed in 1655 Fruit and a vase of flowers. Is in the Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg Russia
Phoenix Phoenix is America - the exact same as English. Greek would not, either, because the Greek had a spelling ph as that America - there is no F in Greek. I did an Internet search on the word, and it is mostly up on websites with a suffix dk - Denmark, maybe?
