How to get to Po Lin Buddha from Disneyland?
We will be visiting Disney HK this month and our plan is to visit Po Lin Monastery first and check our luggage in at the Disneyland Hotel then head over to see the Po Lin Buddha and take the cable car etc. What's the best way to get to the buddha/cable car from Disney?
Also, how much time should I allocate for the sightseeing? We are planning to get there in the early afternoon, then head back to Disney around 5-6pm. Does this sound like a good plan?
Thanks.
Well, there are a number of ways you could do it. By the way its a great experience you should definitely go. I guess you could take the Disney land express back to central and then cross the road and walk down to the piers and the star ferries go to the Lantau island booth and walk in. You can use your octopus card ( there is a ferry about once every hour) board the ferry. The ferry is about an hour and a half ride to the island and then about 30 minutes on the bus. You'll reach the buddha. Be prepared to walk its a lot of stairs too the top but a pretty amazing view.
Well I say allot the whole day to sight seeing. Leave Disney early in the morning say 9 the buddha opens at ten so you leave at 9 you;ll get there around 12- 12:30 stay as long as you'd like but beware it closes at 5:45
Hope this helps
