In Japanese mythology what is the symbolism of a child with a roll mounted on the back of a giant tent
I have a netsuke of a child in back of a tent, holding a scroll. Are you a God? I guess it's something to do with wisdom. thanks in advance.
Day of Children in Japan that uses a command like this: Here is a quote from the following source explaining that "Gogatsu Ningyo (Dolls fifth month) are displayed in homes and storefronts with Kintarou images, usually mounted in a big tent and a traditional Japanese samurai helmet, a Kabuto. Kintarou and Kabuto are both symbols of a strong and healthy child. Kintarou (金太郎) is the name of a childhood hero of the Heian era, famous for his strength as a child. It is said that Kintarou mounted on a bear, instead of a horse, and playing with animals in the mountains as a child. "
