What does a jade dragon pendant symbolize?
According to the book "The Crystal Bible", "Jade is a symbol of purity and serenity. Much prized in the East, it signifies wisdom gathered in tranquility. Jade is associated with the heart chakra and increases love and nurturing. It is a protective stone, which keeps the wearer from harm and brings harmony. It is believed to attract good luck and friendship."
The book goes on to discuss psychological, emotional, spiritual and physical attributes for the stone. There are also different significant symbolisms depending on the color of the Jade. Jade doesn't only come in green. There are also blue, brown, lavendar, orange, red, white and yellow jade.
Dragons, while widely believed to be violent and dangerous, once lived in peace with humans. During the age when the old earth based religions were commonly and openly practiced, humans offered their cattle or horses as sacrifices to dragons in return for their protection from rogue dragons. From all that I have read, dragons symbolize protection.
Most importantly, if you are to be the one to wear the pendant, you would take your personal energy and what you want out of the pendant based on the symbols and attributes of the crystal. Once your personal desires for the pendant's protection or blessings are determined, pray, meditate or whatever you do over the pendant and ask your God, Goddess or whatever to infuse your energies and wishes into the pendant. It wouldn't help to leave it outside under the full moon to multiply those energies.
