What is the correct term? Foo Lion Dog or Foo?
After looking at several sources, I'm still having a difficult time determine the correct term. If insurance is not about what I mean, here is a link to what they seem: http://bostonist.com/2007/10/13/foo_you_foo_dog.php I've also heard them called Fu Lions / Dogs, Chinese Guardian Lions / Dogs, stone lions, dogs, and the Lions / Dogs of Buddha. Is there a correct term for these animals? Or is it mostly my mind?
I inherited one and took it to a shop in Chinatown to see what it was worth it. No point much, but the owner refers to it as a Foo Dog.
