A few questions I need help with... Please?
Getting married in the fall. The colors are cream-ivory-bronze-gold and mauve accents. Women will be wearing mauve/dusty pink colored dresses. Will the men wearing black suits with black ties--- be totally off? I don't like brown or tan suits. ugh!
How much should carnations as centerpieces cost?
Where can I find 120 books of sonnets to give away as favors?
Are cocktail/appetizer/dessert receptions tacky (assuming we throw in appetizers galore to break the sugar high)? We want to marry late at night (8pm) and start the reception at 830 until midnight, and we have family flying to our wedding in Vegas, from California, New York and Arkansas.
Is no alcohol a party killer? Our families DOES NOT need alcohol or it will be a very embarassing situation...
What are inexpenisve gifts to give a bridal party?
Is it akward to have no flower girl?
What are the age limitations on a flower girl and ring bearer?
Please help? With one or more of these problems lol
I think that black for the men is fine, but maybe tie them in with mauve, bronze, or gold ties(or if you can find a tie that has a combo). I would check amazon.com or ebay for the sonnet books, or used book stores and dont worry about them being the same, the older the books the better for a classic feel. Given that its a late wedding I think the limited menu is good, just put on the invites something about cocktail reception to follow so guests know to eat before they come. No alcohol is strictly your choice although a champagne toast is still done at many weddings that have no other alcohol. If you do choose to do that I doubt any guests will get too tipsy on just a half glass. Often the jewelery for the wedding is given to the bridesmaids for their gift and for the men it is usually a flask, cigar case, money clip etc. Many people skip the flower girl and ring bearer, I think they should be under 10 other wise they are more suited for a bridal party position.
